SC1 is the southernmost designated backcountry campsite in Canyonlands National Park's Upper Salt Creek Canyon, located approximately 4.1-4.5 miles from the Cathedral Butte/Upper Salt Creek trailhead via a short spur trail. It is one of four permit-required sites (SC1-SC4) with no dispersed camping permitted in this zone. The site is near Kirk Cabin and Kirk Spring, a reliable water source.
