Ruck-a-Chucky Campground

Ruck-A-Chucky Campground is a primitive campground with 5 first-come, first-served sites located on the Middle Fork American River in Auburn State Recreation Area. It offers picnic tables, garbage receptacles, pit toilets, and fire rings. No drinking water is available. High clearance vehicles are recommended for the 2.5-mile gravel/dirt access road off Drivers Flat Road, which may close in inclement weather. Dogs are allowed. Open April 15 to October 14; closed in winter. 14-day camping limit. Additional Info: Fees: $28 per night, plus $10 for extra vehicle. Seasonal fire restrictions apply.
