Romulus Equestrian is the equestrian campground adjacent to Mount Romulus Backcountry Campground in Elbow-Sheep Wildland Provincial Park. It is accessed via an 11.9 km hike (175m elevation gain) or bike from Little Elbow Trailhead, or further via Big Elbow Trail. Features include hitching rails, pit/vault toilets, fire pits with firewood provided, tent pads, and secure food storage lockers. Reservations required 90 days in advance; maximum 6 people and 1 tent per site. Open May 15 to November 30. Dogs permitted on leash. Cost $12 per person per night plus reservation fee. Kananaskis Conservation Pass and Alberta Parks pass required.
