Pine Canyon 2

Pine Canyon 2 (PC-2) is a primitive roadside campsite in Big Bend National Park's backcountry. It offers nice views of the Chisos Mountains, Crown Mountain, and Sierra del Carmen, solitude, and a small flat gravel space next to the vehicle. No shade, toilets, or other amenities provided. Generators prohibited. Capacity: 2 vehicles, 6 people. Max vehicle length 25 feet, max trailer length 20 feet. Access via Pine Canyon Road (high clearance 4x4 recommended, 4.2 miles from Glenn Spring Road junction). Roads rocky and rutted; check ranger for conditions. Additional Info: Permit required via recreation.gov, reservable up to 180 days in advance. Vegetation sparse grasses and lechuguilla. Day hikers may park nearby; secure vehicles.
