Pigeon River State Forest Campground
About this site
This scenic and wooded campground is located on the banks of the Pigeon River. It can be found in Otsego County deep within the Pigeon River Country State Forest, just 13.5 miles east of Vanderbilt via Sturgeon Valley Road and Twin Lakes. Secluded in scenic woodland along the Pigeon River this beautiful facility provides easy access to hiking trails, excellent fishing opportunities, and wildlife recreation pursuits. It has 14 sites for tent and small trailer use, water access and a hiking pathway. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a free-flowing artesian well. Additional Info: Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations. Managed by Otsego Lake State Park. Overnight fees ($20 for most sites) and registration procedures are posted at the information kiosk. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry.
