About this site
Picket Lake is a 68 acre lake accessible by boat or foot only. There is 1 backcountry campsite on the lake, accessed via a carry down on the East end. The site has a latrine and a fire grate. The lake is only 9 feet deep and covered in lily pads. From Picket Lake you can access Entry Points 22 and 23 of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. You can also portage to Nels Lake or Mudro Lake. A permit is required to enter the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Nine people per site limit. Pack out all garbage.
