About this site
Maude Lake Site 2 is one of two backcountry campsites on Maude Lake in Superior National Forest. Access is via a 160-200 rod portage from USFS Road 200. Facilities include fire rings, tent pads, and latrines. Pack out all garbage. Maximum 9 people per site. Part of the Astrid Lake area and Hunting Shack River canoe route with hiking trails nearby. ATV use allowed on portage to haul canoe but not beyond into the lake.
