About this site
Old Sawmill Campsite is a hike-in site along the Pine Mountain Trail, accessed by hiking approximately 2.4 miles west from the WJSP-TV tower parking lot trailhead. The designated campsite and metal fire-ring are located 226 feet off the trail. A good-sized stream runs alongside the trail on the edge of the camp, with the best access point marked by a sign 75 feet east past the entrance. The site was relocated on June 21, 2014, and can accommodate about 7-8 tents or 15-18 backpackers. Old areas off the trail are marked NO CAMPING and NO FIRES.
