New River #5 is a primitive campsite in Tate's Hell State Forest (Franklin County), located along the west side of the New River in Florida. It is one of eight tent or RV accessible primitive campsites separated over an 11-mile stretch. The site has water access to the river and offers recreational activities including fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, bird watching, wildlife viewing, and photography. No electricity, water hookups, or restrooms are available at the campsite. An off-highway vehicle permit is required to ride ATV/OHV/ROV within the surrounding OHV area.
