Nehalem Falls Campground
About this site
Nehalem Falls Campground provides tranquil camping opportunities along the Nehalem State Scenic Waterway. Located approximately 10 miles east of Wheeler, the campground provides 14 first-come-first-served drive-in campsites, 6 walk-in first-come-first-served campsites, and 1 reservable group site. A short ¾ mile hiking trail circumnavigates the campground and leads through a stand of old growth Sika spruce and western hemlock. Views of the river corridor as well as Nehalem Falls, a low falls surrounded by a basalt ledge are plentiful. Additional Info: Operated by Oregon Department of Forestry. Vault toilets and hand-pumped potable water available. One group site for 10-20 people at $50/night, reservable late May through mid-September.
