Nash Fork
About this site
This campground was decomissioned for 10 years due to pine beetle infestation. With a partnership with Common Outdoor Ground, Forest Service employees were able to clean up the campground and get it in working order in 2021. There are 24 sites, all with access to a picnic table, fire ring, metal barbecue grill, and vault toilets. The campground is convenient to the Snowy Range Scenic Byway (State 130). There are 102 recreational lakes in this area, with an extensive network of trails linking them including Brooklyn Lake, which is located 3 miles north of campground. Dogs must be leashed in the campground. The campground still doesn't have many trees, but it is just as beautiful as before. The Nash Fork Creek meanders through the campground. Additional Info: The campground operates as a mix of reservable and first-come, first-served sites. In 2023, the campground underwent renovations to improve accessibility, with upgrades to campfire rings, site paths, and ramps at select sites. No water is available on-site; campers must bring their own supply. Open season is early June to early October, weather dependent. Can accommodate trailers up to 22 feet. Maximum length of stay is 14 days. Campfires are only allowed in USFS-approved metal fire rings. Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Payment by cash or check only (no credit cards accepted).
