Musreau Lake Provincial Recreation Area
About this site
Situated in a mature boreal forest, this Provincial Recreation Area offers access to the clear waters of Musreau Lake and an immersive woodland camping experience. The industrial gravel road leading to the park is often rough. A beach and boat launch offer access to the lake that is clear and great for swimming. Hike along the lakeshore on the unmaintained forested trail, hang out on the sandy beach or take your canoe or boat out for some exploring. The smaller campsites are first-come, first-served, but the group camping area is available by reservation. Additional Info: Musreau Lake Provincial Recreation Area is about 80 kilometers southeast of Grande Prairie. The campground is located beside Musreau Lake and surrounded by a mature forest, offering beautiful forest and lake views. Amenities include a beach, boat launch, drinking water, and vault/pit toilets. The campground is open seasonally, typically from May through September, and reservations are required for the group camping area while the smaller sites are first‑come, first‑served.
