Muskrat Lake State Forest Campground is a secluded rustic campground nestled on Muskrat Lake, a shallow, warm-water lake with excellent opportunities for paddling and fishing. There are 13 sites for tent and small trailer use. The campground is located 12 miles northwest of Mio via M-33 North, West Miller Road, Richardson Road and Muskrat Lake Road. Additional Info: Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. Overnight fees ($20 for most sites) and registration procedures are posted at the information kiosk. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. One camping unit and six people are allowed per site. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations. No electrical available. Open all year; however, the campground and seasonal roads are not plowed in winter. 2 sites accommodate up to 40-ft vehicle/trailer.
