About this site
Masse Homestead Group Campground is to the west of the regular campground. It too is at the base of the dunes in a thick forest canopy. Group site for 7-20 people with up to 10 tents or hammocks. One designated fire ring. No water access; visitors must bring water. Accessible only by hiking. Additional Info: Requires backcountry permit via Recreation.gov. Open year-round with reservations. Nearest water sources 2.5 miles away at Lake Superior or Grand Sable Lake.
