Dispersed camping area in Coronado National Forest at over 8,000 feet elevation in the Santa Catalina Mountains. Free first-come-first-served sites accessible by most vehicles via Mt. Bigelow Road off Catalina Highway. Completely undeveloped; bring all supplies including water. Ideal for escaping Tucson heat with cooler temperatures, scenic views, and stargazing. Follow fire restrictions and pack out all trash.
