About this site

Douglas Spring Campground is a backcountry site in Saguaro National Park's Rincon Mountain District at 4,800 feet elevation. It offers 3 primitive campsites, each for up to 6 people, reached by a 6.5-mile hike with 1,800 feet elevation gain from Douglas Spring Trailhead. Water is seasonal and unreliable; bring at least 1 gallon per person per day. Fires are not allowed due to fire-prone grasslands and lack of firewood. Amenities include toilets and bear boxes. Additional Info: Open year-round for wilderness camping with reservations required via Recreation.gov. Maximum stay 10 days total, no more than 5 consecutive nights.
