Monogram Lake Camp

Monogram Lake is a backcountry campsite in North Cascades National Park accessible via a steep 4.7-mile hike with 4,200 feet of elevation gain from the Lookout Mountain Trailhead on Cascade River Road near Marblemount, Washington. The lake sits at 4,800 feet elevation in a cirque beneath Little Devil Peak, ringed by glaciated peaks and subalpine meadows. The trail features steep forested switchbacks for the first 2.5 miles before opening into high meadows. A pit toilet and water sources are available. Bear canisters are required and campfires are prohibited. A backcountry permit ($12 per night) is required for overnight stays. Party size is limited to 4 people. The main campsite is located at the head of the lake.
