Middle Matilija Camp

Middle Matilija Camp is a primitive trail camp in the Matilija Wilderness of Los Padres National Forest, located along the North Fork Matilija Trail (23W07). It offers shaded streamside camping areas after hiking past Matilija Camp. The site features iron grills for campfires (subject to fire restrictions) and proximity to creek swimming holes. Additional Info: Accessed via moderate hike of approximately 3-4 miles one-way from Matilija Canyon trailhead near Ojai, CA. Part of a series of four camps along the trail: Matilija Camp, Middle Matilija Camp, Upper Matilija Camp, and Maple Camp.
