About this site

Middle Fork of the Powder River Campground is a remote BLM campground located at 7,500 feet elevation along the Middle Fork of the Powder River, known for its blue-ribbon trout fishing. The campground offers five primitive camping sites, each equipped with a fire ring. Basic amenities include a vault toilet and drinking water. The campground operates seasonally from May through September when weather and road conditions permit. Additional Info: This campground is managed by the BLM Worland Field Office and is situated within the Middle Fork Powder River recreation area. The area is popular for fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The Ed O. Taylor Wildlife Habitat Management Area is nearby and has seasonal closures from January 1 through May 14 for wildlife protection.
