Middle Fork Campground
About this site
Middle Fork Campground is located 14 miles west of Buffalo, Wyoming, in Bighorn National Forest along the Middle Fork of Clear Creek. The campground sits at approximately 7,400 feet elevation within a forest of pine and aspen trees, adjacent to the Cloud Peak Skyway scenic byway and near the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area. It offers 9 campsites (8 single-family sites and 1 double site), each equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. Vault toilets, hand-pump drinking water, and trash collection are provided during the operating season. Spur lengths range from 35-55 feet. Recreation opportunities include hiking, fishing, scenic driving, and access to Circle Park Trailhead (3.5 miles away), which accesses numerous alpine lakes and two 12,000-foot peaks within the Cloud Peak Wilderness.
