MESA (Campground) Additional Info: Mesa Campground is nestled in juniper and pinon trees on the mesa above Lake Roberts in the Gila National Forest. The campground has 24 sites along the bluff with great views of the lake below. Twelve sites have water and electric hookups. Amenities include heated restrooms with flush toilets, potable water, picnic tables, grills, and garbage facilities. Maximum RV length is 32 feet for most sites, with two sites accommodating up to 40 feet. All sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations, limited to 14 consecutive days per stay. Generally operational mid-March through December depending on weather. Migrating birds and waterfowl make this a great birding location.
