Lower Virginia Creek Primitive Campground is a free, developed campground offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. 22 campsites with fire rings and bear boxes, there are several sites taht can accommodate large trailers or motorhomes. The campground is located along Lower 139 Campground Rd (also known as Forest Road 32139). Additional Info: Lower Virginia Creek is a rustic, minimally developed primitive campground adjacent to Virginia Creek and surrounded by Jeffrey pines. Fire rings and bear boxes are provided; several sites can accommodate large trailers or motorhomes. No trash service - pack out your trash. Potable water and picnic tables not available. Restrooms available. Open late May to mid-October as weather allows. A free California Campfire Permit is required for fires. Dogs must be leashed. Horse/pack animals allowed.
