About this site
5 numbered campsites, most with a picnic table and fire ring. Additional Info: Located at Mile 16.6 on the C&O Canal towpath between the canal and Potomac River. Free, first-come-first-served hiker-biker campground managed by the National Park Service. Each site includes a picnic table and grill. Hand-pumped water spigot with iodine-treated drinkable water available (turned off November 15–April 15). Chemical toilets available. Limited parking. One-night stay limit. Closest campground to Georgetown for hikers and bikers.
