overnight shelter located on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail and coincident Long Trail Additional Info: Designated backcountry camping area in Green Mountain National Forest featuring a three-sided shelter and five tent platforms available on a first-come, first-served basis. Located at Little Rock Pond in the White Rocks National Recreation Area. A Green Mountain Club caretaker is staffed during peak season. The site includes a composting toilet and access to water from nearby sources (must be treated or filtered). Camping is only permitted at designated shelter and tent platforms; dispersed camping is not allowed. Accessed via a 2.3-mile hike north on the white-blazed Appalachian Trail/Long Trail from the Forest Road 10 trailhead.
