Little Lyford Lodge & Cabins
About this site
Little Lyford Lodge & Cabins is a remote, backcountry lodge facility operated by the Appalachian Mountain Club on conservation land in Maine's 100-Mile Wilderness. The property includes individual cabins for couples and families, plus a communal bunkhouse sleeping up to 12. Cabins are heated by wood stoves and lit by propane lanterns (no electricity). Toilets, showers, and a wood-fired sauna are located in a communal bathhouse. Each cabin has running, drinkable water. Meals (breakfast, dinner, and bag lunch) are included and served family-style in the main lodge. Winter access requires hiking eight miles from a parking lot; summer access is by trail. The facility operates late December through early March and late May through mid-October. Dogs are welcome year-round. Guests can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, fly-fishing, hiking, paddling, and wildlife watching. The property sits within 37,000 acres of AMC conservation land.
