Lark Canyon Campground

Lark Canyon Campground is a year-round facility with 15 developed campsites located adjacent to the Lark Canyon OHV Area in McCain Valley. It features fire rings, picnic tables, water (not tested safe for drinking), and vault toilets. Group camping sites are available. Vehicle camping is permitted only in designated numbered units with a maximum of two vehicles per unit and 14-day stay limit. Quiet hours are 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Additional Info: Located 5.3 miles up McCain Valley Road from the entrance, in San Diego County near Boulevard, CA. Popular for OHV enthusiasts with nearby trails for motorcycles and ATVs under 40 inches wide.

Good campground, not many spots. Arrived at 9pm on a Saturday night (5/24/25), only 2 people there. Would recommend 4x4 to get to, but my little sedan made it through without any trouble. REALLY pretty location.
