Laguna West 2
About this site
Laguna West 2 is a hike-in backpacking campsite in Big Bend National Park, located approximately 3.5 miles from the Basin Trailhead via the Laguna Meadows Trail. The site accommodates a maximum of 4 people and 1 tent. It is located in an open chaparral woodland area with views of surrounding low brushy hills and provides shade. A solar-composting pit toilet is located near the spur trail. No water is available at the site; visitors must carry adequate water (at least 1 gallon per person per 24 hours). No wood or ground fires are permitted. Pets are not allowed on trails. Bears and other animals are frequently seen in this area; use the bear-proof food locker provided. Hammocks are prohibited.
