Keller Peak Yellow Post Site #5 is one of nine individual free campsites along Keller Peak Road (Forest Road 1N96) in San Bernardino National Forest, managed by the Mountaintop Ranger District. First-come, first-served with no reservations. Limited to 8 persons and 2 vehicles maximum per site. Amenities include 1 picnic table and 1 fire ring. No restrooms, drinking water, or other facilities available. Pack it in, pack it out. Road is paved but narrow, not recommended for trailers or large RVs. Sites typically closed in winter due to snow. Additional Info: Max stay 14 days. Horses/pack animals allowed with restrictions (hobble 100 feet from water sources, trails, campsites; scatter manure). Near Children's Forest Visitor Center, Exploration Trail, and Keller Peak Fire Lookout.
