Joshua Tree South BLM (West) is a popular dispersed camping area managed by the Bureau of Land Management, located right at the southern entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. This "West" area refers to the lands west of Cottonwood Springs Road, which tends to have more dispersed camping areas but can be more crowded. Dispersed camping on BLM land: pack in and pack out, no services or limited services. No reservations needed, first come first served. Max stay 14 days in a 28-day period. No amenities.
