Irons Mountain Hiker-Biker Campsite is located at mile 175.3 along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal towpath in western Maryland. Accessible only by foot, bicycle, or horseback, this primitive site is free, first-come first-served, and limited to one night per stay. Amenities include chemical toilets, picnic tables, grills, and non-potable water (seasonally available mid-April to mid-November; bring your own in winter). Fires restricted to provided grills/fire rings.
