Indian Flats Hiker-Biker Campsite

Indian Flats Hiker-Biker Campsite is a primitive camping area at milepost 42.5 on the C&O Canal towpath near Dickerson, Maryland. Accessible only by foot, bicycle, or horseback. Open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations or fees. Includes chemical toilet, picnic table, grill, and seasonal non-potable water (turned off mid-November to mid-April). Overnight stays limited to one night. Fires restricted to provided grill. Pack out all trash. Additional Info: Part of NPS hiker-biker network spaced every 5-7 miles along the 184.5-mile canal trail.
