Hunter Canyon/Spring Camping Area is a BLM-managed primitive camping area located approximately 8 miles west of Moab, Utah off Kane Creek Road. It features dispersed tent sites accessible by vehicle via a dirt/gravel road with a tight, steep switchback (not recommended for vehicles over 22 feet or trailers). The adjacent Hunter Canyon Group Site offers a reservable area for up to 15 people with picnic tables, fire ring with grate, and vault toilet. No water, dump station, or hookups available. Popular for hiking the Hunter Canyon Trail, rock climbing, and OHV activities near Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Additional Info: - Vault toilets confirmed - Fires allowed in rings - Good cell service reported (AT&T, T-Mobile) - Pets allowed - Spring and fall best due to temperature extremes
