Hilgard Junction State Park

Hilgard Junction State Park is a primitive riverside campground located next to Interstate 84 at its intersection with Highway 244 near the Grande Ronde River in northeast Oregon. The park offers 18 primitive campsites with paved parking that can accommodate self-contained RVs up to 35 feet in length. Amenities include flush toilets, drinking water from hydrants, and firewood for sale. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. Typical operating season is mid-April through mid-October. The park is surrounded by cottonwood and ponderosa pine trees and provides access to the Grande Ronde River for fishing, rafting, and swimming. Additional facilities include horseshoe pits, an Oregon Trail interpretive shelter, and picnic areas. One campsite is accessible for campers with disabilities.
