Hennepin Canal Lock 21 Campground

Lock 21 Campground is a primitive camping area located on the Hennepin Canal in Illinois. The campground features multiple campsites with picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets. Camping is available for tent, RV, pop-up, and equestrian use on a first-come, first-serve basis. Equestrian camping is restricted to the south side of the Lock 21 area. The site offers drive-in and boat-in access. Drinking water is not available at Lock 21; the only drinking water on the canal is located at the visitor center main parking lot. There are no hookups or dump stations available. Dogs are allowed at campsites.
