Helen Lake is a remote backcountry campsite in Glacier National Park, accessible only by hiking the Helen Lake Trail (4.3 miles continuation from Elizabeth Lake Trail). The site is in an alpine basin surrounded by Ptarmigan Wall, Mount Merritt, Old Sun Glacier, Ahern Peak, and Glacier, with excellent mountain goat and grizzly habitat. No open fires allowed, no horse camping permitted, and the campsite is exposed to wind. No fish in Helen Lake.
