Haystack Road offers 10-11 free designated dispersed campsites along a well-maintained gravel forest road in White Mountain National Forest, suitable for tents, travel trailers, and larger campers at select sites. Maximum stay is 14 days within a 30-day period, with up to 3 vehicles and 15 people per site. Amenities are minimal: fire pits only, no drinking water or toilets. Accessible by high-clearance 4x4 or SUV, leading to North Twin hiking trailhead.
