About this site
Harding Lake State Recreation Area, 45 miles south of Fairbanks on the Richardson Highway, offers over 90 campsites including 78 vehicle-accessible sites and five walk-in group sites in a spruce/birch forest. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, sanitary dump station (free for campers), boat launch, playground, picnic shelters, and activity areas for baseball, volleyball, and horseshoes. Firewood available for purchase. Additional first-come first-served camping for self-contained units at Lakefront Day Use Area (weekdays), Camp Lot (up to 10 units), and game field parking lot (up to 12 units).
