About this site
Tent platforms and sites located below the Halibut Cove Lagoon Ranger Station in Kachemak Bay State Park. Features fire rings, tent sites, aging latrine, and bulletin board. Access by boat (high tide only due to shallow channel and strong current) or foot from trailheads. Nearby public use cabins available by reservation, good fishing for king salmon in summer, and hiking trails. Watch for day breezes and winds in the lagoon. Additional Info: Public dock for boats up to 26 feet provides access to ranger station, restrooms, cabins, and trailhead on first-come, first-served basis.
