Russian River Campground

Russian River Campground sits at Mile 54 of the Sterling Highway near Cooper Landing in Alaska's Chugach National Forest. Managed by the U.S. Forest Service, the campground features 83 wooded sites along the Russian and Kenai Rivers, suitable for tents and RVs. Amenities include vault toilets, drinking water, fire rings at each site, and some wheelchair-accessible sites. The campground is open May to September and is popular for fishing sockeye and silver salmon, hiking the 2.5-mile Russian River Falls Trail, and enjoying scenic views of the Kenai Peninsula. Cooper Landing is located 5 minutes north, offering additional services and attractions.
