Halfway Trail Camp
About this site
Halfway Camp (8,100') is located 1.3 miles from Vivian Creek Camp along the Vivian Creek Trail, the shortest and steepest route to Mt. San Gorgonio summit in San Gorgonio Wilderness. Water is obtained from the creek 200 yards before camp. Campsites are located upslope from the trail (no camping within 200 feet of trail or creek). Further along the trail: High Creek Camp (9,200', 2.3 miles ahead) and San Gorgonio summit (11,499', 3 miles beyond High Creek). Additional Info: Surrounded by rugged terrain and dense forest in San Bernardino National Forest. Trailhead reached by turning east off Highway 38 to Forest Falls.
