Dog Valley offers dispersed camping in the Toiyabe National Forest near Loyalton, CA. There is no developed campground; most of the Dog/Sardine Valley is private property and working ranch land. Areas with picnic tables or firepits are sheep camps—respect private property and camp only on BLM/USDA lands. Road access is narrow and rocky. Additional Info: Dog Valley is managed by US Forest Service. Unique flora includes Dog Valley ivesia.
