Green Springs has two corrals and one trough with a hose that can be placed in the spring if it is running. The area is mostly pine trees. There are six sites at this dispersed camping area. There is a trailhead at the campground that connects you to the trail system in the Yolla Bolly Wilderness. Bathroom is closed for maintenance. Additional Info: Green Springs is a free, first-come, first-served dispersed campground in Mendocino National Forest at 6,000 feet elevation. It features an outhouse and fire rings. High-clearance 4x4 vehicle recommended due to rough access roads. No water, electric, or sewer hookups available. Pets are allowed. Maximum 14-day stay limit. Accessible via M1 to Espee Ridge Road to M2. Not maintained during winter months and may be inaccessible due to snow.
