About this site
Backcountry campsite at Grebe Lake in Yellowstone National Park. Access via the Grebe Lake Trail, a 6.2-mile round-trip hike from the Grebe Lake Trailhead located 3.5 miles west of Canyon Junction on the Norris-Canyon Road. Permit required for overnight camping. Moderate difficulty hike through meadows and forest. Grizzly bears frequent this area. Campsites include established fire rings. Leave No Trace principles apply: sleep 100 yards from food storage and cooking areas, store food in approved bear-resistant containers, and extinguish campfires completely before leaving.
