Grapevine Hills 1 (GH-1) is the first primitive roadside campsite, located 0.3 miles down Grapevine Hills Road from the pavement. It is a large site that can accommodate 3 vehicles (including trailers), 20 people, and no horses. The road to GH-1 is accessible to most vehicles. No shade, toilets, water, or other amenities are provided. Generators are prohibited. Secure food due to javelina. Nearby Grapevine Hills Trail leads to Balanced Rock.
