About this site
Yaupon is one of three camping loops (Yaupon, Post Oak, Old Hickory) in Lake Somerville State Park Birch Creek Unit, offering 99 campsites total with electric and water hookups park-wide. Twenty-one sites have 50-amp service; others have 30-amp. The park provides restrooms with showers, picnic areas, group facilities, boat ramp access to Lake Somerville, and operates daily 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations strongly recommended. Equestrian camping not allowed due to flood damage. Additional Info: Park located on northern shore of Lake Somerville in Burleson County, TX, with direct lake access for fishing, boating, and swimming.
