French Farm Lake

French Farm Lake Road is a free, first-come-first-served camping area managed by Michigan DNR as part of the French Farm Flooding State Wildlife Management Area in Wawatam Township, Emmet County. The site features 6 vehicle-accessible campsites along a sandy dirt road on the northeast corner of French Farm Lake, approximately 2.7 miles southwest of Mackinaw City. Amenities include fire pits, rustic parking, a boat launch at the southern endpoint, and a hiking trailhead. The area is characterized by dense forest with views of the 802-acre lake. Pets are allowed. Limited services are available.
