About this site
Designated dispersed camping site along Forest Road 62 (East Fork Hyalite Creek Road) in Hyalite Canyon Recreation Area, Custer Gallatin National Forest. Dispersed camping is restricted to designated sites marked with carsonite signs showing a tent symbol, within ½ mile of the main Hyalite road and East Fork road. Campfires must be contained in designated fire rings. Follow food storage orders to secure food in a bear-proof manner when not in use and Leave No Trace principles. Additional Info: Vehicle accessible site at approximately 6,500 feet elevation near the East Fork Hyalite Creek Trailhead.
