East Bay Campground

Located 20 minutes south of Silver Lake, Oregon, East Bay is a desirable campground located at the base of Hager Mountain on the shores of Thompson Reservoir. Enjoy gorgeous views of the mountain and shady campsites thanks to mature ponderosa pines throughout the campground. Eighteen spacious campsites accommodate tent and RV camping. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, potable water, and three vault toilets and a boat launch when water levels are conducive. East Bay offers excellent fishing and boating opportunities on Thompson Reservoir. There is no dock at the present time but boaters can easily back their boat down the ramp into the water. Thompson Reservoir is stocked with rainbow trout on an annual basis. Other adjacent activities include access to the Fremont National Recreation Trail #160, and Hager Mountain. Fee info: Overnight Use: Single Site: $10 per night Additional Vehicle Fee: $5 per vehicle per night Additional Info: Open year-round with full services May 15 through October 15 and reduced services October 16 through May 14. Popular with hunters in fall. Access to Hager Mountain summit trail (4 miles one way). Boat ramp available seasonally.
