About this site
Dyea Campground is a free primitive campground with 22 sites for tents and small vehicles, located in Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park along the Taiya River, 9 miles from Skagway. It offers vault toilets, picnic tables, fire grates/rings, bear-proof food storage, and trash disposal. The site is first-come, first-served, open when free of snow, and provides access to the Chilkoot Trailhead and historic Dyea townsite. Vehicles longer than 24 feet are discouraged due to rough, curvy roads with a low bridge.
