Devil's Gulch Group Campground

Devil's Gulch Group Campground sits in the primitive western section of Samuel P. Taylor State Park, about a mile beyond the main Camp Taylor entrance along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. This quiet camping area comprises two small group sites plus one dedicated equestrian group campsite positioned above Devil's Gulch Creek in a canyon setting. The equestrian group site can accommodate up to 20 people, 6 vehicles, and 12 horses, featuring 8 pipe corrals, 3 wire-and-post corrals, hitching racks, and water troughs. Additional Info: Amenities include water, toilets, and fires allowed. Pets allowed. No showers, dump station, electric, water, or sewer hookups. Reservations available up to six months in advance through ReserveCalifornia. Currently temporarily closed as of December 27, 2025 due to high winds and potential hazards.
